Changing or cancelling your subscription

Cashrou Pro is one subscription covering every device. Where you change it depends on where you started it, and that is the only complicated part.

Before you start

Cancelling stops the renewal. It does not delete your account or your data, which is a separate action.

Steps

1

Work out who bills you

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple bills you. If you subscribed on the web, Stripe does. Cashrou is told only whether a subscription is active, which plan it is, and when the period ends.

Cashrou never sees your card details on either route, which is also why it cannot change a plan on your behalf.
2

If Apple bills you

iPhone Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. Cashrou appears there with options to switch between monthly and yearly or to cancel. Changes take effect at the end of the current period.

3

If Stripe bills you

Go to app.cashrou.com/billing and sign in. From there the billing portal lets you switch plan, update the card or cancel.

What happens after cancelling

You keep Pro until the period you have paid for runs out. After that the plan is still yours and still readable; what stops is the ongoing use of the paid features.

Resubscribing picks up exactly where you left off. Nothing is removed for lapsing.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by whoever took the payment. Apple purchases go through Apple's own refund request page. If you bought on the website, you can cancel and get your first payment back yourself within 7 days of it, at app.cashrou.com/billing (Cancel and refund). This covers the first payment after your free period, works once per person, and ends Pro right away rather than at the end of the period. For anything else, email support@cashrou.com and a person will pick it up.
