Features / Plan the paycheck

Every bill, in the paycheck that has to cover it.

A bill tracker organised by pay period rather than by month. Each bill carries the day it is due and the account it comes out of, and lands in the paycheck that has to pay for it.

Web and iPhone, live Android, coming soon

A bill calendar tells you what is due. It does not tell you whether the money to pay it has arrived yet, which is the only question that matters when you are paid every two weeks.

The date it falls, and the payday it belongs to

Those are two different facts, and Cashrou keeps them apart. A charge on the 24th you settle on the 1st belongs to the 1st, and you can say so on the bill itself.

A card charge waits for the card

Something bought on a credit card belongs to the payday that pays the card off, not the one you bought it in. The account works out which that is from its own statement and due dates.

Whatever cadence it really has

Weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual on a month you pick. Nothing is forced into a monthly shape, and the payday routine reads the real cadence.

Out of a named account

Each bill knows which account it leaves from, so what is left to allocate is right per account rather than only in total.

HOW IT WORKS

Adding one.

Name, amount, cadence, and the two questions a monthly app never asks.

01 Name it and price it Amount and cadence. Cashrou suggests the merchant and the category as you type.
02 Say when it falls The day of the month, or the month of the year for an annual one.
03 Say which paycheck pays it Usually the one its date falls in. When it is not, mark it for the next payday and it moves.
04 Watch it in the routine It appears in the payday that covers it, ticks off when you pay it, and comes out of the account you named.

The specifics

Bills you mark as automatic still appear, because a payment leaving without you is still money that has to be there. Anything reimbursed carries the amount you expect back, so the figure the routine plans around is what the bill actually costs you.

Organised by Pay period, not calendar month
Cadence Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, annual
Per bill Due day, account, payer, autopay, reimbursement
Card charges Land in the payday that settles the card
Currency A bill can be priced in another one
