You need Cashrou 1.5 or later on your iPhone or iPad, because that is the version that shares your numbers. Look in Cashrou's Settings for a row called ChatGPT and Claude, and if it is not there, update Cashrou from the App Store. Until your app has that row, ChatGPT or Claude can connect but have no numbers to read. What is shared, with whom and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Steps
Add Cashrou in Claude or ChatGPT
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, press + and choose Add custom connector. Name it Cashrou and give it the address https://app.cashrou.com/api/mcp. In ChatGPT, adding an app by its address needs developer mode: turn it on in ChatGPT's settings, then add an app with the same address.
Sign in with your Cashrou account and allow it
A Cashrou page opens. Sign in with the same account you use in the app, with Apple, Google or email. The page names the app that is asking, says what it will be able to see and what it will not be able to do, and asks you to allow it. Tap Allow.
Open Cashrou on your iPhone or iPad once
While a connection exists, the app shares a summary of your numbers, worked out on your device, and ChatGPT or Claude answer from it. It is shared again when you open Cashrou or change something in it, and every answer says when the figures were worked out.
Ask about your money
Try: How much can I spend until payday? What is still left to pay this payday? When do I get paid next, and how much is coming in? ChatGPT and Claude answer in whatever language you ask in.
What it can and cannot do
It can read your accounts, balances and net worth, your paydays, income, expenses and what is safe to spend, and your goals and debts.
It cannot change, add or delete anything in Cashrou, and it never sees a card or a bank login, because Cashrou has neither. Cashrou never receives your questions or the answers: your conversation stays with the app you are talking to.
Removing it
In Cashrou, open Settings, then ChatGPT and Claude, and tap Remove. Its access stops at once, whatever ChatGPT or Claude still shows. Remove the last one and the summary is deleted from our servers.
You can also remove Cashrou inside ChatGPT or Claude, and a connection that is not used for sixty days ends by itself.
Which ChatGPT and Claude plans work
Claude: every plan can add it. On the free plan it uses your one custom connector, and on a Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds it for the organisation first.
ChatGPT: until Cashrou is listed in ChatGPT's apps, adding it needs developer mode, and whether your account has that depends on your plan and, at work, on your workspace's settings.
Either way the answers use your ChatGPT or Claude plan, not Cashrou's, and Cashrou costs nothing extra for this.
