What comes in against what goes out.

Month by month, grouped by category, with the shortfall named in words rather than implied by a colour.

Web and iPhone — live Android — coming soon

Two bars and a difference. Everything else on the screen exists to explain that difference.

Income, by source

Salary, second job, invoices, benefits. Each one visible, so a month that felt thin can be traced to the reason.

Spending, by category

Grouped and ranked, with the biggest mover against last month called out at the top.

The gap, stated plainly

Cashrou writes the sentence: you spent $340 more than you earned in July. No decoding a red number.

Twelve months at a time

One month is noise. The trend tells you whether the shape of your year is improving.

HOW IT WORKS

Where the numbers come from.

Cashflow is assembled from what you already record on payday. There is no separate data entry.

01 Income from the routine Every paycheck and one-off you tick off during the cycle counts as income in the month it landed.
02 Bills and subscriptions Recurring obligations flow in automatically at their real cadence.
03 Everything else you log Ad-hoc spending you record is categorised as it goes in, so the grouping needs no cleanup later.
04 Compared, monthly Cashrou closes the month and files it. The comparison to previous months is built from those closed records.

The specifics

Cashflow counts money in and out. It does not count unrealised gains on investments or changes in asset values, which live in net worth instead.
